Hairdressing has been my passion for over 20 years. As owner and creative presence of The Cutting Room Salon & Spa, it is my responsibility to share innovative concepts, to help my team members reach and surpass their full creative potential. My position as a Sebastian Artistic Team Member is unique for The Cutting Room, as it allows me to be a resource for the entire team. It enables me to introduce the hottest and most current trends in hair and makeup techniques. I am committed to inspiration in artistry and encourage my team to reach the highest level of quality and excellence.

I am very enthusiastic about physical fitness and well-being and I incorporate this healthy attitude into all parts of my life.

I have been a member of The Cutting Room team for over six years. I am devoted to education and love experimenting with colour and shape. I like to keep active by running, playing soccer, travelling and my busy social calendar. I am very energetic and enthusiastic about helping to create new looks, colours and styles for my clients.

I finished my esthetics certification in May 2004 and haved been working at the salon for over one year. I'm enjoying building my clientelle and meeting so many people. The service I enjoy the most is the spa facial. Performing this service allows me to improve the health, look and feel of my client’s skin. Using Dermalogica allows me to customize facials so you never have the same treatment twice. I am focused on continuing to learn about skin care treatments with advanced training that is offered from our exclusive skin care line - Dermalogica.

I enjoy traveling and have been to Australia and South Korea. I also like being outdoors, going camping and watching movies. I've recently started playing indoor soccer.

Our newest makeup artist to the team is home grown and taught.  Her years in the industry are short however, her passion in makeup started early.   Jovan has always had a curiosity for experimentation with different shades and a knack at convincing anyone to have the latest trend applied.  This newcomer looks forward to working at The Cutting Room and all the experiences to follow, for she carries her dreams of some day doing makeup for the stars.  Until then, she’ll enjoy Edmonton and all the friends, bars, athletics and her cute puppy Fred!!

I have been at the Cutting Room for almost one year, in my first year of my apprenticeship. The best part about doing hair is the transformation that our clients go through! Making other people feel great makes me feel great as well. I am delighted to work with such a dedicated and talented team that puts the client first, and I am looking forward a great future with the Cutting Room. In my spare time I enjoy baking and cooking for friends and family as well as traveling and spending time in Edmonton’s gorgeous river valley.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to work with hair and color.  Making people feel great about themselves is one of the best rewards.  I am very excited to be able to do so in such a great environment.  As one of the newest additions to the team, I look forward to working with such an enthusiastic and incredibly talented group of people.

I am excited to be joining on with the highly talented and reputable Cutting Room team.  I have been in the industry for 8 years.  I’ve worked with so many different people in various job title positions who have taught me so much about all aspects of the hair and business industry.  I aim to make everyone feel lovely and confident about themselves.  I want clients to be cheerful. Energized and to feel at home and comfortable in the salon no matter how they felt when they came in.  This I believe is going to be a fabulous change for my clients and myself.  Along with change comes challenge, which provokes passion and knowledge.  I have a thirst for knowledge.  I enjoy designing and offering people a style that is unique and special as they are.

I love doing hair to the point where it’s in all aspects of my life.  I guess you could say I work, sleep and breath hair.  I am very family oriented and spend a lot of time organizing birthdays and functions.  I have a multitude of projects always on the go because I find it extremely difficult to only be doing one thing at once.
